it's not a dream, yet it's far from a dump; let me preface... i went apartment hunting in seattle, for the first time since 1993 - a lot had changed; i looked at more than 13 one bedroom apartments throughout the capitol/first hill area, and this place was the best; if you're a dog/pet owner, it's a dream come true to move/live with your furry loved one; if you like/appreciate old world charm, high ceilings, moldings, hard wood floors and a funky-beautiful red carpet - then you'd love this place; you will sacrifice view and quiet, for a PRIME location in the city; the church bells will remind you of europe, if you've traveled, and the freeway noise will ebb-n-flow; the management company is new, yet a polite/professional squeeky wheel will get you results; the on site manager is kind and fair -- again, dealing with anyone in a polite/professional manor will go a LONG way; the walls are old/thick, so i do not hear my neighbors at all; the heat/hot water is good, and my utilities bills are the average with my other renting friends in the city; street parking is not bad -- occasionally have to pay for an hour at the meter, yet always able to find a spot within a few blocks; and finally, the laundry room can be kept cleaner by the TENANTS using it, yet a laundry room is a laundry is a....
if you're not a pre-madonna, and can take a little bad with some good, this would be a place for you;

ps. above all, make the decision for yourself -- don't just rely on my word, or others;
