The planes, always the planes!
I lived at Alexan in 2002-03. The noise from the airplanes (both commercial planes and military jets) was horrendous. It's too bad, really, because the apartments themselves were pretty nice. If you are deaf, this place might work for you; otherwise, you WILL be deafā¦Ā See More >anonymous

RIP OFF ALERT!
I've been meaning to write this review for a while now. My husband and I lived in the Alexan for 9 months in 2003-2004 (it had just switched to the new ownership). We had several very neat cats, and we paid quite a bit of money inā¦Ā See More >CuriousJON

Pigeons horrible, planes loud.
We liked it at first, but the planes really start to bother you since the apartments are in the flight path. For the life of me I dont know why they didnt doublepane the windows, especially since they knew they wanted to go condo somedayā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Planes, Trains, and Pigeons
If your moving to the area and need a place to stay for a few months while looking for a house these apartments might work for you. We've lived here 6 months and that's enough. It's nice having two restaurants and a coffee shop inā¦Ā See More >anonymous

I love it here!
My Husband and I have been here for almost 2 years and have nothing but rave reviews. I have never lived in a nicer rental community, we have ample parking, everything is always very clean and tidy. I would say the planes are not aā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Very nice, very convenient
I have lived her for about a month, and really enjoy it. Yes, there is train and plane noise, but I have gotten used to it. When I have the windows closed I really canĀ“t hear much external noise. The neighbors areā¦Ā See More >anonymous

The most exciting place to live...
I moved in to Alexan in February and decided on a townhome along the railroad. There is RR noise, but it isnĀ“t as bad as I had anticipated. I havenĀ“t heard a neighbor yet. The office staff is overly accommodating and hasā¦Ā See More >deebat

Noise is a problem, otherwise good
I really like the interior of my apartment at Alexan, but IĀ“m moving because of the exterior. The noise is far too great, from the trains to the planes to (yes) the automobiles...AND to the constant armies of yard-maintenance folks. Currently, there are lots ofā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Noisy and expensive, but great location
Unless you have a Ā“fullĀ“ river view, and arenĀ“t next to the train tracks, this place is overpriced. Management is friendly and responsive, but being next to the tracks and directly under the airport flight pattern gets old. a Ā“partialĀ“ riverview is a joke, asā¦Ā See More >anonymous

Beautiful and Great Atmosphere
I have really enjoyed living here. It is close to Beaches Restaurant and McMenimanns and the view I had out my townhouse of the Columbia River was breath-taking. The management was always accommodating and even had a dry cleaning service that delivered toā¦Ā See More >Alexan at Columbia Shores
