Resident 2013 - 2019

8/6/2019

You'll drive in and think, WOW, this place is really nice and well cared for! But just so you know, all they care about is how it looks on the outside. So remember, looks like a necktie, feels like a noose. Creekside was bought by Pathfinder (some San Diego "investment" group) in May 2019. They removed the dumpsters and make us put our garbage by our front doors. Raccoons, coyotes and homeless people are now normal for being at your front door throwing garbage everywhere. There is literally garbage everywhere. The garbage service is called "valet garbage" and they only pick up five days a week and they miss whole buildings constantly so sometimes people go four to five days without service. Mangers don't care. One said to me "You probably put it out wrong." Granted she is 21 and not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but how do you put your garbage can out wrong? Not only that but Pathfinder makes money for using them. They charge us MORE than they pay. The are crooks. They just told everyone no more BBQs after it being allowed for decades. They told people to put them INSIDE THEIR APARTMENTS!!! Propane and gas! I called the Fire Marshall. Everyone has little gardens that were allowed and they spent a lot of money on them, they are being TORN OUT. TORN OUT!!! When you enter there is a gorgeous garden this lady has spent a decade making, a real gem (okay, it's mine), they are tearing it out!! Dear Pathfinder, we don't want your charmless corporate flowers. You're doing it all wrong. No more decorations, whatsoever. If you have one you get fined or they throw it away (illegal). They tried to tow cars from the DRIVEWAY of the townhouses (for expired tabs!) which is illegal and the tow truck driver (whose company is actually contracted to tow for Creekside) refused. HE called them "scumbags." Residents are considering a class action against the place. People are breaking their leases left and right. Oh yea, and the rent has been around 1600 for a townhouse, now they are advertising them at 2K because they are freshly painted. Don't do it! The older lady manager has some anger issues and sends out these threatening, nasty memos telling use how horrible we are for wanting a friendly beautiful place. I implore you, speak to a few residents before signing that lease. If it is either Creekside or sleeping in your car until you find something better, choose the car. I'm dead serious.
