These are above average apartments. The quality of the features is pretty good for the price. The kitchen cabinets are real wood, not the usual cheap apartment particle board, recessed lighting (although the faucets are cheap). Good-quality carpet, but the cheap vinyl flooring is sort of tacky (maybe I just live in one of the units that hasn't been updated yet). I looked at a lot of apartments in Vancouver, and this was the best bang for my buck, considering there is a washer/dryer in the apartment, free basic cable, central AC, and the layout is nice. It's pretty quiet, too, and the ones who weren't quiet I notice the new managers have gotten rid of. The old manager, Tammy, was NEVER around and let the place go, but at least she was nice. The new manager (Amanda) and assistant manager (?), they are always around, but are pretty standoffish. I just pay my rent and leave, try not to interact with them too much. Since they've taken over, the grounds are better kept and the garbage dumpsters aren't so out of control, like they used to be. Parking is good. Sound proofing is pretty bad. My neighbors are nice and quiet, no drama, but I can still hear the guy taking a wizz in the middle of the night (that's how thin the walls are). Overall it's a pretty good place to live, very quick access to I-205. Neighborhood is a bit scuzzy because of the nasty Wal-Mart right next door, though. I've been here for 4 years now and I do not regret it, and I know a lot of people who have lived here a lot longer than that. New management is an improvement over the previous, and they are fixing the things that had been neglected and, in general, making updates. Plenty of parking.
