Cedar Glen Apartments
Resident · 2008 - 2009
The property itself from the exterior has been brought up to date in 2009. Appliances and carpet in individual units have not been replaced in 20 years. Lack of an on site manager has fostered more or less a lack of disclipine and clean common areas. The location is quite scenic and beautiful but does not command the high rents management is asking. Madison may get the high rents but Cross Plains is not Madison. You wont get a lot of sunlight here unless you live on the southern end of the building but you will get quiet. No washing machines in the 1 bedroom or studio apts. so have a lot of change available. The walls between units are quiet but if someone lives above you expect to hear footsteps. As per other comments-management is desperate right now and is getting more lax with entry requirements as you now see dogs allowed and smoke smell and cigarette butts in the common areas. And yes rents increased in 2009 $25 to $50 per month in a recession that encouraged many good long time residents to leave. Mgt. is very interested in keeping rents as high as possible. Dont be afraid to ask for a free months rent when resigning your lease.
