Resident 2014 - 2016

9/26/2016

I think it may actually be impossible to get your deposit back. I lived at Honey Creek for 2 years. The management when I first moved seemed to treat tenants as if all tenants were bad. The management when I left (summer 2016) is much better! Teronomy, the company that owns and runs the complex charges numerous non refundable fees that do not seem warranted. When I gave my required 2 month notice, I was given instructions on cleaning that are a page long. Teronomy's instructions on cleaning give the appearance that you are doing the cleaning that a landlord would typically do before a new tenant moves in. If you have a pet you are required to have the carpets professionally cleaned with a pet enzyme treatment. This is on top of the non-refundable pet fee of $100 that is required when you move in. And a pet deposit of $500. And $25 extra on your rent per pet per month. All the fees for pets and the professional carpet cleaning seems like double dipping to me. Snow removal was not timely nor done well. Teronomy added 3 more buildings in 2016, with no notice to tenants. This increased the population by over 40%. Making parking and pool usage very crowded. The grounds are kept up fairly well and the pool is nice. There are limited choices for renting in the area, especially with pets and a pool. I feel Teronomy is exploiting there tenants.
