High Point Manor
Resident · 2006 - 2008
I recently moved out of High Point Manor and I already miss it! I moved to Madison for graduate school from western New York. I only had 1 day in Madison to find an apartment, and I'm so glad I looked here. They have a pet friendly building that I lived in because I was planning on getting a cat. I was worried other pets may make the building loud, but it was silent all the time. Most apartments are either efficiencies or lofts, so single family households anyways. The surrounding area is perfect too. You could walk to the mall on a sunny day. I love watching movies, and the theater is only yards away. I was even able to get a job within walking distance. The apartment is DIRECTLY on a bus route too. Since UW gives students free passes, I never had to pay for parking downtown. Plus I didn't want to live in the downtown area because it is filled with cheap housing for undergrads who party all the time. For the rent you pay, you get a much larger space that is well maintained. If I ever needed maintenance, they were there within HOURS. They even clear the lots and sidewalks of snow so you don't need to worry about that hassle! They even offer a few underground parking spots. Bill in the office is AMAZING. I wasn't able to pick up my keys on the first of the month because I was still in New York, but he let my parents come by and pick them up and move my things in. Since he never met me that first time, I was not expecting him to even know who I was. However, when I walked into the office to pay my first month's rent, he knew exactly who I was plus that I was a student and wouldn't only ask how things were going, but actually seemed to CARE when he asked. When I needed to break my lease early, the office helped me find a subleaser in less than a month and took care of everything for me. I haven't lived in many apartments, but I know my next experience will never be as good as this one. You can't go wrong.
