Having lived here for a total of 7 years with separate periods, I have deep understanding about what's going on here. In my first stay in early 2000s, the then manager kept everything in order and everyone all respected. When we had something that needs to be fixed, it's quickly and pleasantly arranged and finished. I was very happy about that experience so when I came to Madison again for the second time, I didn't hesitate a moment to come live here again. But, this is a tragedy. The new manager, a guy, changed everything here. Now I have to beg him for repairs that should have already be done before handing the apartment to tenants. What's worse is that even after waiting for the maintenance staff coming in to repair, the problem sometimes are not solved and I have to beg them again and often was talked down by the manager or the maintenance staff himself. As you know, when you rent an apartment, it's your home at that period of time. You expect to come home with a relaxed feeling instead of coming home to be ready to be challenged. So, I was exhausted and decided to move out and find substitute. The landlord, represented by general manager Sue, is very nice. Every time I saw Sue, she greeted me sincerely and if problems are presented to her, it was surely resolved. But if you talk to the office manger, expect to be talked down with no reason at all. Now I have a hard time to choose between the happy memory (first period) and the nightmare (second period) of my time there. All I can tell you is that, choose carefully, see things by your own eyes, don't let the intended lies blind your vision. I think this applies to all things in our lives as well. Good luck in finding a comfortable and reasonable place to live. God Bless You.
