Resident 2014 - 2017

1/30/2017

Lincoln Ridge is a convenient location with reasonable rates for the area, and the current management is trying to make improvements, but if you are looking to start a lease in 2017 I'd recommend finding a different place. Be aware that they do not have adequate parking, so you get to explain to any guest that they must park in the visitor lot, walk up the icy hill, and cross the busy road. This also applies if say you have a loaner car while yours is in the shop. If a car is parked near your building without a sticker, there are no warnings given. On a cold Friday night in January when the lot isn't even a quarter full, the car will be towed to Sun Prairie. You'll wake up the next morning to find the car gone. It will cost $220, and you'll lose 2 hours by the time you drive there and wait while incompetent employees deal with a line of irate people. Prairie Land towing is contracted to patrol the parking lot. Lincoln Ridge says that this was arranged by former management and they cannot break the contract. It is effective until January 2018. Another perk is waking up at 2 AM and listening to some other poor person's car being towed. Other cons: 2/3 of the buildings are on the south side of Watts Rd, where the beltline is very audible even with windows closed. All the residents talk about the drafty windows. The parking lots and main road (Watts) are on hills. They can get pretty icy/snowy in the winter.
