This is literally one of the nicest and most inexpensive apartments in the area. Beautiful newly remodeled kitchen with huge amounts of storage space, nice carpeting, and generally very quiet and relaxed. Nice neighbors, and I almost never hear them at all. Once in a while you can hear a child yelling down the hall, but rarely and never late, and it's not enough to really bother. In comparison to 98% of the other housing, it's an awesome place, with a dishwater, ample laundry facilities and extra storage in the basement, etc. Mostly graduate students live here, a few others mixed in. Not the absolutely best location, as it's too far to walk easily from the Capital, but it's only a 15 minute bike ride on bike paths or 10 minute bus ride to campus. The UW Arboretum and Lake Wingra are just a few blocks away, and is a great place to get out and go for a bike ride, hike, run, picnic, or whatever you like to do. A huge public outdoor pool is within walking distance for the summer. A grocery store and post office are right around the corner. I have no intention of moving away anytime soon.
