Two years into our time here, Shenandoah has proved an excellent choice. The entrances are bright and airy while the building and common areas are well-kept. For an older building, apartments are updated and in surprisingly good condition. Windows are large, layouts are comfortable, and while we were not initially excited about a galley kitchen its ample counter top space is remarkable for an apartment this size. We ve found the basement storage (including indoor bike storage) to be exceptional, while washers and dryers are regularly available. The location provides an easy commute for the both of us - busing, biking, or possibly even walking to campus is convenient and there s easy access to the Beltline. In addition to our building parking spot, we have never had problems finding street parking for a second car. Within a mile are numerous restaurants, post office, grocery store, Arboretum, zoo, library, and multiple coffee shops. Owners are very friendly, available, responsive, and helpful. During our time they have seasonally decorated and provided treats. They offer laundry quarters and are great with packages, often going out of their way delivering them. Yes, we can sometimes hear people talking, music, or faint television sounds, but nothing extraordinary for apartment buildings. The owners provide clear expectations to residents about maintaining apartments and quiet hours (10pm-8am). When repairs are necessary they take care of things quickly. In the end, we would recommend this complex to people looking for decent apartments at a great price and location, with a highly-skilled and friendly staff who holds reasonable expectations for their renters.
