Summit Hill Apartments

I lived in a studio apartment on the second floor for a little over a year. The location is decent and rent is pretty reasonable. The smell mentioned in a previous review was not present in my building (just smelled like air freshener all the time) The ceilings are quite thin. Hearing some one walking on the floor above me, made me jump a few times because the creaks the floor made were so loud! It is very easy to hear a conversation if there are people talking near the other side of the wall. Due to the price, the best of characters aren't living here. Some one shot a gun in the hallway outside my door (police didn't find any evidence of homicide/assault at all) And cars do get broken into if you don't lock your doors. Maintenance is semi-attentive, usually will fix something a few days after you put in the request. Packages can be a pain to get because they are delivered to the office which is only open from 9-5 on weekdays, closes at 2 on saturday and is closed on sunday. My main complaint about the building is the kind of tenants that live there more than anything else (court orders for evictions will pop up on the front door monthly) Overall, I recommend this place if you are looking for something budget friendly in a convenient area. The apartments can get pretty stuffy but they have great insulation and heating/ac. I am fine with their strict pet policy because even as it is now, there is often dog crap scattered throughout the grassy areas and some times late at night I can hear cats/dogs yelling outside to no end, so if anything they should enforce their pet rules. Overall I would not want to live here if I had children but it is great for younger people not looking to settle down.
