Timberlake Village Apartments
Resident · 2005 - 2007
I moved in around December 2005 right about the same time the new management took over. I had lived in Madison for 5 years previous to that and had my share of landlords, and let me tell you these guys are great. The staff is friendly and promptly responds to questions and requests. The maintenance staff is excellent and though I've only twice had to put in minor requests, they were both fixed within 24 hours. The price is decent considering the area of town as well. My only qualm is I've seen a few apartments in addition to my own, due to friends I've made in the complex, and I would suggest that they consider putting in new carpeting more frequently. I had just thought mine was a bit worn, but others were as well. The coin operated laundry is priced pretty low in comparison, though I sometimes wish there were more than 2 washers and dryers per floor as I think each floor has 8-10 units and on weekends and after 5pm weekends you may have to wait for a while. Oh and considering the MASSIVE amounts of snow we got this year, whoever they contract with to do the plowing does a superb and prompt job! Kudos! I echo others comments on the good location and the nice pool outfront and this is the first place that hasn't lost a UPS/Fed Ex/USPS package on me. The only reason I'm leaving is because I took a job out of statem, but would recommend this place. Of note, there are a lot of dog owners in the complex, which is cool with me because I grew up with dogs, but for those that are animal weary, you might want to think it through. The walls are pretty thick and I only here other residents on rare occasions. My only other recommendation would be to try and give outgoing tenants more than a day notice when you're going to show their apartment to prospective new tenants. I typically get home after 6pm and it's a little annoying finding out that there will be a showing the next morning so I have to scurry to clean the place up a bit. Oh, and I had the one bedroom loft style and liked it a lot.
