I lived in a two bedroom apartment at Norris Court. The apartment had a ton of character (in a good way). The living room had built-in book cases with framed-glass doors around a wood-burning fire place. The living room looked out over a nice little courtyard area. We had a claw foot bathtub and a good size linen closet in the bathroom. French doors opened up to a study and sun room. The wood floors were very well maintained throughout. I had nothing but good experiences with the management, always responsive and prompt.
The apartments are older, but so are most apartments in that area of downtown. It was extremely warm in the winter, but we had great air flow in the summer. We did have some issues with our downstairs neighbors being loud (hearing through the walls). Our two bedroom apartment had 19 windows and 9 closets - which is hard to find anywhere. Plus we got a locked storage space in the basement that was at least 20' x 20'. Comparably priced units downtown don't compare.
I think units vary by building, size, and level of upkeep. Make sure to inspect the unit before signing a lease.
