Prospective Resident · 2013
I have to share my sad experience with any one who have interest in this place. There is an office manager Debbie. About 2 weeks ago I checked and liked an apartment. It's a cute little village. She didn't let me take an application home to think about, so I had to fill up an application in her "office" - the dirty smoked dining room with alcohol bottles all over in her apartment, and handled her a check for 1 month rent and security deposit. (2 month rent). I called the "office manager" Debbie to cancel my application 3 hours later, but it was 5 minutes after 5pm and she didn't answer. Then I called the next morning at 8:00 am and explained the reason why I changed my mind. Debbie demonstrated an understanding of my situation and assured me: "it s OK, honey, I will just rip your check up and you don't have to call your bank to cancel your check." 10 days later, I noticed that my check had not been ripped up as Debbie promised and my money was just gone from my account.... I immediately called Debbie and asked her how that happened? She told me that she was losing her costumers and now I have to discuss it with Katz Corp. office. First of all how was she losing her costumers between 5pm on Sunday and 8am on Monday? She was not suppose to send my application for an approval anyway. Now I am going through all this distress trying to get my money back from corp. office. No one contacted me yet after several emails and telephone messages. People, learn my lesson, cover your back and protect your money regardless, it could happen to anybody. Call your bank! Cancelation fee is nothing compare to this stress and overdraft charges. If you feel doubt, stop and think twice before giving your money away. This women scammed me and has no business to be the legal property representative. Unfortunately this will be affecting the reputation of Katz corp. and the New Berlin apartments. Stay away from this place, until the corp office replace this women by someone professional and honest.
