On the positive side, the grounds are generally clean and if you have an appliance issue they solve it quickly. If you like quiet, the place is quiet. Somewhat isolated. Near the downtown if you like to walk. There is a park across the bridge. If you have kids, you need that. There are too many rules and some of the managing personnel can be vindictive and harsh. They proclaim and threaten rather than ask or find out first. In general they need to be more courteous on enforcement issues. I would almost never see a informational sign as they post them all near the mailboxes or in the elevator. I hardly see that. Maybe it's a trade-off because they seem responsive on apartment issues. If they have a bigger problem like water heater failure, they delay and make bad decisions on repairs taking too long. Heating unit has a filter, but there is so much sloppy construction in the ducting it doesn't filter much of anything. Actually, the outside service providers they use are not very good. In cold weather some lights go into strobe light mode. They don't fix it. Garage parking is tight and not well designed. Garage door opener doesn't work very well (yes there is a new battery). Community washers/dryers are just adequate. Often I go elsewhere for better equipment. The elevators are really slow. They aren't trimming the trees properly since the new management came in. Grounds seem to be suffering a little in general. In the apartment, 10A breakers throughout. Try to plug in something like an electric grill... that would be a mistake. How about a decent kitchen appliance? Likely not. One day returning to the apartment the blinds had fallen from the patio doors. They were using improper fasteners for the job so it was a failure waiting to happen. The bathroom exhaust and kitchen hood are useless unless you like to hear noise. They do make noise. Some of the floor areas seem "spongy" when you walk. Windows and patio door are old, so not good for insulating quality. The general population is older. If you have kids, not the place for you. There aren't kids here outside doing anything. I can only assume doing something is not allowed. Pricey for the quality of the apartment. Tan, tan and tan accents with an ugly pinkish-tan in the bathroom and white walls. Nothing at all with any character whatsoever on the inside. In summary, I pay for location. And, it's a good location.
