Finally getting around to share impressions of Bay Village! Moving to this property has proven to be one of the best moves we've made. As "fuzzy kid" parents (pet owners), we were concerned about finding a location that would "accept" our 100# Lab. Many, if not most, of the properties that "allow" pets these days have restrictions on size, as well as restrictions on breed. Bay Village is not just "pet friendly" (or the ubiquitous "pets welcome"), this property is really geared towards folks who have dogs and/or cats. Don't misunderstand: there are buildings that are exclusively "no pets", and resident pet owners are expected to be responsible and "neighborly" (ie: cleaning up after your dog, keeping them on a leash, not allowing cats to roam free as well as respecting neighbors as far as noise, etc). Whitefish Bay Village ordinance requires these things as well, so Bay Village certainly isn't "over-the-top" with pet rules. The Property Manager, Sherri, is a true "pet lover" (and a pet-parent!), and always makes time for the "furry" residents. The grounds have undergone somewhat of a transition since our arrival in 2010. While always clean and cared for, the impression now is more "park-like" than anything. Surprising amount of "green" space, and the recent installation of "pet waste stations" in several locations has made a huge difference (Note: over the years, we noticed many "non-residents" walking their dogs through the property, and unfortunately, many times those folks wouldn't bother to clean-up after "business"). The Bay Village staff, from Property Manager Sherri to the maintenance folks, are exceptionally friendly, responsive, and genuinely care about the comfort, safety and satisfaction of residents. This is a quality that cannot be overemphasized, as it translates into easy, comfortable communication between everyone. Any "issues" (ie: plumbing, HVAC, etc.) have been resolved quickly, and to our satisfaction. The overall impression on the Bay Village property is one of "neighborhood" and all that word implies. The location of the property, with shopping, recreation, entertainment all in the immediate area with easy transportation options, is very convenient. We highly recommend Bay Village Town homes as a great place to live!
