Having lived in Bay Village Townhomes for several years, I can verify the validity of the reviews being posted! There was a time (as I call it, the "previous regime"..) when the "on-site" management was more concerned with "keeping up appearances" and "enforcing" various "rules" rather than maintaining a good environment and good relationships with tenants. That was then... Now, with a change in managers a few years ago, the emphasis has decidedly become "resident focused", with the result being a truly welcoming and sincerely "inclusive" community! Simply by virtue of her attitude, and her obvious caring nature, Manager Sherri M. has elevated the Bay Village from just another "property" to being a highly desirable "residential community" within the larger Northshore area of Milwaukee. Pets are more than welcomed here: they are "residents" themselves, and concern for their welfare is a way of life in Bay Village. As one of the few places that "accept" pets (other than birds, fish, etc) in the area, folks with cats and dogs feel very much at home here. I believe that most owners of dogs living here know each other and "whose dog is whose"; certainly by sight. Additionally, every dog owner I've observed is very conscientious regarding cleaning up after their pup, as well as controlling and handling their pet. I'm sure there are exceptions, but surely not often! The issue of "safety" is rather complex. There is absolutely no issue with residents safety here (any more so than in the Whitefish Bay village itself). Within the past 12-16 months, the northshore communities (Whitefish Bay, Shorewood, Glendale, Fox Point & Brown Deer) have experienced a increase in property crimes, due to vehicle theft. To my knowledge, there have been two (2) instances of this within the boundaries of Bay Village. In both cases (as per Police Reports), these vehicles were unlocked, unattended and in one instance, left running. This has been the case in close to 94% of the incidents for the time frame. Obviously, individuals have a responsibility to secure their own property, and no policy, rule or police presence can prevent all incidents. (Full disclosure: I am a retired Certified Protection Professional and former Chief of Safety and Security for a private university). Simply put, Bay Village Townhomes: Appearance: A+ On Site Management: A+ "Community": A+ Responsiveness to concerns: A+ Maintenance/Groundskeeping: A+ Value for $: A+ If you're looking for a rental home in Milwaukee's Northshore area, you'd be hard-pressed to do better than Bay Village! Do come check it out..
