This place was the absolute worst apartment experience I've ever had. Silver Ridge does not maintain the parking lot during winter, causing lots of ice build-up for others to slip and fall, cars to slam into each other and etc. The sidewalks are also not maintained very well during the winter as well. I'm surprised they have never been sued before. And the check-out procedure is absolute absurd and being able to get any of your deposit back. First when you actually check-in, they don't tell you to list everything that is wrong iwth the apartment, like dust or a few crumbs in areas and etc. This is pretty minor stuff that didn't bother me cause I could clean it up pretty quick and make it look nice. So I didn't bother writing that done on the check-in sheet ( and I'll get back to this later on). I mainly made more major things like dents in walls, scratches on wall, marks, outlets damaged. So when I checked out, they decided things like one crumb in the fridge meant it needed to be cleaned and not just the one spot but the entire fridge and freezer. And it was these minor things that they decide to nickel and dime you on to keep as much of the deposit as possible. So they tell you the apartment needs a "Full" clean which apparently takes a full day!!! Which in a two bedroom and two bath, is absolutely absurd. I've had a cleaning lady before and she could complete a clean in 3 hours max for a two story house. They claim they want the place spotless for when the next person moves in, but it's clear they don't, as I've said before, I needed to clean the place before I set-up my belongings in the apartments. So it's clear they just make up how long it takes to clean so they can keep the deposit. They claim they give you list of what needs to be cleaned but they don't. The signing of the checkout list at the end doesn't mean anything either. They will add anything they want, and just tell you it was missed and should have been marked on there. And they will charge you for that still. Example: they missed burnt out light bulbs (which I replaced a couple when I moved in) at the check out, but took it out of my deposit at the end. I'll be moving back to Rock Springs and I will not even consider this place again. I probably could go on and on about the negatives about this place. I will take my business to the Preserve, which is much cleaner, better maintenance, better upkeep, allows dogs, and more friendly employees. I'd rather live on the streets then here ever again.
